In this richly colorful and lively project, you will learn to capture the illusion of movement and depth by the use of contrasting values and positioning of the hovering honeybee juxtaposed against the solid form of the crimson rose. The sense of depth is enhanced by the out-of-focus background. I have included my fundamental approach to color selection, using my four value method (SHADOW, DEEP SHADOW, LIGHT and HIGHLIGHT.
